Work has officially commenced on HMS Cambria, the £11m naval training facility being built in the capital.

HMS CAMBRIA, the Royal Naval Reserve unit for Wales, will provide a modern, state-of-the art training centre where Naval and Marine Reservists can prepare for service at sea.

McCann and Partners are delighted to be providing MEP services for the facility, which will sleep up to 50 people and includes classrooms, changing areas, accommodation, an indoor gym and outdoor training space.

The naval unit is being developed at Cardiff Bay Roath Dock, and will be replacing the existing Cambria site in Sully, which has been housing the RNR since 1980.

HMS Cambria is estimated to complete in Spring 2020, and we are thrilled to be contributing to a project that is set to establish a firm foothold for the Royal Navy in Wales.
