Kian and Geraint have both achieved Chartered Engineer status and Daniel has been awarded an IEng.
Congratulations to Kian Spillane and Geraint Harcombe who have both achieved Chartered Engineer status.
Senior Electrical Engineer Kian started out as a Junior Electrical Engineer when he joined McCann in 2015, having started his career with an electrical installation apprenticeship. He has subsequently completed numerous sponsored training courses at McCanns, including HNC, BEng and MSc prior to applying for his CEng.
Kian said: “I’ve always been encouraged to progress professionally since starting at McCanns and within my first week of joining the company I had enrolled in my HNC course. CEng was the culmination of nine years of steady progression, with full support of my colleagues and mentors throughout each phase.”
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Geraint also joined McCann in 2015 and undertook the company’s fully sponsored training programme. He has since gone on to achieve Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Building Services Engineering at Bridgend College, followed by a BEng (Hons) degree in Building Services Engineering and then an MSc in Environmental Design of Buildings from Cardiff’s Welsh School of Architecture.
Geraint said: “I am overjoyed to have achieved CEng registration and MCIBSE status. I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of the amazing team at McCann and Partners Ltd. The company supports individual personal development, whilst promoting the importance of time spent to undertake academic studies. I have been lucky to work along experienced Engineers who have shared a wealth of knowledge, which has certainly helped me along the way. It is a pleasure to work at McCann and Partners, and I look to forward to many more years of service.”
We would also like to congratulate Senior Electrical Design Engineer Daniel who has been awarded an IEng.
When he joined McCann and Partners in 2013, Daniel began as a Junior Engineer, participating in a series of fully sponsored academic programmes. His pursuits included completing a HNC at Bridgend College in Building Services Engineering, followed by enrolment at the University of the West of England, where he graduated with a First Class BEng (Hons) in Building Services Engineering.
Subsequently, Daniel received the prestigious recognition of CIBSE South Wales University Student of the Year. To further his professional qualifications, Daniel successfully applied for and obtained MCIBSE status and IEng registration under the Engineering Council.
Daniel said “I have continually received invaluable support and encouragement from McCann and Partners, both personally and professionally. I am immensely satisfied with my progress in both my career and academic pursuits, notably attaining MCIBSE IEng. I am actively now working towards securing CEng registration within the next year, and I am grateful for the unwavering support from McCann and Partners as I work towards this goal.”
