McCann and Partners will be supporting three charities through a variety of fundraising events throughout the year.
McCann and Partners to fundraise for three charity partners during 2024.
Each of our offices in Cardiff, Swansea and Bristol have chosen local charities who will all benefit from any monies raised in McCann events this year.
The Cardiff office has chosen to raise funds for Brecon Mountain Rescue, the Swansea office has picked Surfability UK and the Bristol team opted for local charity 1625 Independent People.
Brecon Mountain Rescue is based in the Brecon Beacons National Park and operates throughout mid Wales. It works closely with the Police, Fire Service and the Ambulance service to deploy specialist search, rescue and medical capabilities to assist those on the mountains or in the communities who need help.
Surfability UK provides surfing lessons and experiences for people with additional needs due to disability, illness, injury or learning difficulties. It runs surfing lessons at the beautiful Caswell Bay on the Gower all year round with the aim of combining best practice from special education, health care, surfing and lifeguarding to make surfing as inclusive as possible.
1625 Independent People, based in Bristol, works with young people who are homeless, leaving care or at risk of homelessness in Bristol and the South West. As well as providing safe, stable accommodation, it provides practical and emotional support to ensure vulnerable young people can build healthy relationships, develop independent living skills and can access jobs and training.
Associate Virginia Clements said: “We wanted to support local charities which align with our interests and we can engage with, so that we can make the greatest difference in our community and contribute to causes that are important to us.”
Fundraising events planned include McCann’s annual golf day, a beach clean and a quiz night.
