In the latter half of 2018, Legacy: McCann Sustainability provided Castleoak team members with two Awareness Training sessions, designed to develop their understanding and insight into BREEAM.
The course is designed to give a basic overview of the principles of BREEAM, followed by a more detailed approach to understanding the best methods for maximising a project’s potential (including key considerations for making project decisions, and common mistakes and how to avoid them).

The aim of the course for the Castleoak team was to give an insight into the core credits that must be achieved to gain BREEAM ratings (including practical knowledge of BREEAM categories and technical issues) and an understanding of timeline requirements within BREEAM (in line with the RIBA Plan of Works).
